Dr. Nicholas (Nick) Matthews began weightlifting and CrossFit during grade school to improve his overall athletic ability. The hard work in the gym helped earn him a Division 1 Track and Field scholarship at SIUE where he went on to become the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman Athlete of the Year and a two-time Ohio Valley Conference Champion.
Nick earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville, a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in sports psychology from Southern Illinois University @ Edwardsville. He is an NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer and an NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He currently works full-time as a Physical Therapist at ProRehab Physical Therapy.
Nick does a significant amount of the USF programming and coaches occasional classes.
